A few days before my dad died in August, I got the call I'd been dreading from my
mother. She told me it was time to come home for my dad's last days. I live in California,
and they live in Alabama. I packed up my PS4, super slim PS3 and PS Vita--alas, my desktop
PC was too big--and made the journey.

Bibliographic Framework Transition Initiative. The Library of Congress is launching a
review of the bibliographic framework to better accommodate future needs. A major focus of
the initiative will be to determine a transition path for the MARC 21 exchange format in
order to reap the benefits of newer technology while preserving a robust data exchange that
has supported resource sharing and cataloging cost savings in recent decades.

identification tool. It is the first in a planned series of tools developed by The National
